Kyle Shanahan Says There Isn't a Single Play He'd Like Back From Super Bowl LIV Loss
By Brendan Balsamo

What was supposed to be a magical season for the San Francisco 49ers came crashing down on Super Bowl Sunday. The Niners rose from the ashes of a 4-12 season in 2018 and made it all the way to Super Bowl LIV against the Kansas City Chiefs, just to blow a ten-point fourth quarter lead.
Since the game's conclusion, San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan has caught a lot of flak for his play calling, but it seems as though he has no regrets.
Kyle Shanahan has said multiple times that there are plays in the 28-3 scenario with the Falcons that he’d want back. What about Super Bowl LIV? “I’ve been over it a thousand times ... and there actually isn’t.”

Many questioned if Shanahan was the problem after realizing this was the second Super Bowl lead he had blown as a coach. As the Atlanta Falcons' offensive coordinator in 2016, the Falcons blew a 28-3 halftime lead to lose Super Bowl LI to the New England Patriots.
According to Shanahan, there's nothing he'd take back. Shanahan could be attributing the loss to the magic of Patrick Mahomes and Hall-of-Fame coaching from Andy Reid, and frankly we wouldn't blame him.

Shanahan isn't to blame for the loss. The lack of the 49ers execution of the play calling was what lost San Fran the game. Kansas City capitalized on their mistakes. The players lost Super Bowl LIV, not the coach.
