Kyle Van Noy Seemingly Takes Shot at Rodney Harrison to Create Patriots Drama
By Jerry Trotta
We certainly have no idea where this alleged beef commenced, but it's just as compelling as any other grievance between two professional athletes.
New England Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy, the reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week, raised some eyebrows when he brazenly took a shot at former Pats safety and current Sunday Night Football analyst Rodney Harrison on Wednesday.
During an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Zolak and Betrand", Van Noy told the hosts not to compare him to the former two-time Pro Bowler after they claimed the linebacker was playing a similar role to that of Harrison.
The hosts subsequently asked Van Noy if he had anything against the former New England DB, and the 28-year-old LB denied holding such a grudge, though we don't exactly buy that notion considering the palpable tone of contempt in his voice.
Van Noy's comments even started a brief Twitter feud with Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, never shy to mince words, as he clapped back at the acclaimed insider.
Florio didn't dignify the tweet with a response, and eventually Van Noy took to his own timeline to clear up his antagonistic comments on Harrison.
Its certainly a viable explanation, but also the perfect scapegoat response. Assuming this tweet marks the end of the drama, we might never know what started this apparent gripe between the two players.
Oh well.
