Kyrie Irving to Reportedly Meet With Nets Sunday With Motivation to Agree to 4-Year Max Deal
By Jerry Trotta

If Kemba Walker's imminent signing didn't firmly close the book on Kyrie Irving's forgettable one-year stop in Boston, this news surely will.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski, Irving is scheduled to meet with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday where they will promptly address contract negotiations. Irving is expected to sign a four-year, $141 million deal should he agree to terms with Brooklyn.

Though we didn't want to admit it because it was never official, this was always the expected outcome, especially after Kyrie's abrupt decision to part ways with longtime agent Jeff Weschler to be represented by ROC Nation Sports roughly two weeks ago.
In truth, Irving to the Nets has been the Association's worst kept secret for quite some time. After all, he grew up in New Jersey and was raised a Nets fan.

While it's terrific news for Brooklyn, a young team on the brink of making major waves in the Eastern Conference, it comes as a gut-wrenching reality for the likes of the Lakers and Knicks who were reported to have an outside shot at landing the superstar point guard.
All that's left to do now is wait for Woj's official confirmation. Keep your phones nearby, folks.
