The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most stories franchises in the history of sports. From Elgin Baylor and Jerry West to Magic and Kareem to Shaq and Kobe, this franchise has reached the greatest of heights in multiple decades, with 16 championships to their name to date. While the team's all-time list is the subject of much debate, not much has been said about the Lakers' All-Decade team from 2010 through 2019.

The Lakers no doubt have had their fare share of ups and downs over the last 10 years, However, it's time to decided who ultimately makes the final cut for this Purple and Gold honor roll.

PG: Lebron James

Most casual fans out there still aren't likely to consider LeBron James a point guard. However, Lebron has always been his team's primary ball-handler, 55% of his minutes have effectively at the PG spot this season, and he's currently 10th all-time in total assists. LBJ has always been an amazing passer, and this year is currently leading the NBA with almost 11 assists a night to go along with about 26 points.

Wing: Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant may be the greatest Laker to every play the game, but it's worth noting that his performances in the current decade -- which began with the 2010 NBA title -- were not the finest of his career thanks to a devastating Achilles injury. All told, he averaged 25 points, five rebounds and five assists over the last third of his career, and there's just nobody else who could possibly deserve this spot on the list more than the Mamba, if for no other reason that his titanic status as an all-time Laker symbol.

Wing: Lou Williams

Yes, Sweet Lou didn't even play two full seasons with the Lake Show. But in the midst of the dreariest part of the decade, he led the team in win-shares in both 2015-16 and 2016-17. That's no small achievement. In 125 total games with the Lakers, he averaged 16.8 points on a tidy 50.8 effective field goal percentage.

PF: Pau Gasol

One of the best passing big men of all time, Pau Gasol was the second most important piece on the superb Lakers teams of the early 2010's. From the 2009-2014 seasons, Gasol averaged 17.4 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists, making two All-Star teams and winning an NBA championship alongside Kobe Bryant.

C: Dwight Howard

Hear us out here. Dwight Howard became one of the biggest punchlines in basketball as the decade wore on, but his 2012-13 season with the Lakers has grown to be underrated with the passing of time. He led the league in rebounding with 12.4 per game, and was arguably the second-best player on that team after Kobe. Now, he has resurrected his career as an energizer off the bench for this year's talented Laker squad, and has spent these final months of the decade as the most important big man on the team not named Anthony Davis. (And his free throw shooting is vastly improved, too!)
