VIDEO: Lakers Should Probably Call Kendrick Perkins About Playing Backup Point Guard
By Alexander Wolz

When he is not spending his time crafting some wild NBA takes, Kendrick Perkins seems to have been working on his handle in quarantine. A recent video posted on social media shows that Perkins has developed into a bit of a point guard, and the Lakers may be able to use his help.

No, it would not be a bright idea for the Lakers to sign Kendrick Perkins. Just putting that out there. But that clip makes a pretty good case, especially considering that the only true point guard in LA is Rajon Rondo. Quinn Cook is the nearest backup, but maybe Big Perk deserves a shot to compete for that spot after all.
Despite being a rival of LeBron James for many years in the East, Perkins may love the opportunity to play alongside the King. He has been quite vocal in his support of LeBron, at least at times.
Give me the old 35 year old Beast that got his team at the Number 1 spot in the West!!! Carry on.... https://t.co/llispLLPWe

Perkins' handling of the ball here is a far cry from what he showed during his time in the NBA. Over his 15-year career, Perkins traveled throughout the league, but he was never known as much of a dribbler. Maybe he learned a thing or two from his teammates since then.
Both on television and on the pavement, Perkins seems to be enjoying his post-playing career, and with an NBA championship to his name, he has done well in more ways than one. But a ride to the Finals alongside LeBron would not hurt either.
