Davis suffered the injury against the Brooklyn Nets in their preseason game in China. He initially tried returning to action, but was later held out for the remainder of the contest for precautionary reasons.

Davis joined the Lakers from the New Orleans Pelicans this past offseason in a blockbuster trade and fans are finally thrilled LeBron James has a true No. 2 to help him through the postseason.
However, Davis is known for having been wildly injury-prone throughout his career, as he's never played over 75 games in a season.
That will continue to be a concern, but Davis' play in the early going has made fans realize the Lakers will be true contenders for next year's NBA title if he can make it through a full season.
