That's tremendous news considered the Lakers have already dealt with an injury scare to LeBron James. This team cannot go on with two of their superstars hobbled for the rest of the season. LA should consider itself lucky after this scary fall:

It's been a whirlwind 24 hours for Davis and the Lakers. Just prior to Tuesday's tip-off, it was reported that Davis would be turning down the team's max contract extension offer, electing to hit the open market this summer instead. However, this was expected considering the Lakers can offer him more money once he's officially an unrestricted free agent.

It's very possible that Davis will be limited the next few weeks with LA likely wanting to be cautious depending on how sore his injured back is. Stay tuned for updates on his progress as the Lakers head on the road to face the Mavericks and Thunder before returning home to face the Cavs and Magic between now and Jan. 15.
