Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel Didn't Rule Out Possible Return for DeMarcus Cousins This Year

The Los Angeles Lakers looked to have suffered a huge blow to their 2019-20 campaign after new-signee DeMarcus Cousins suffered a torn ACL this summer.
Things may not be as doom and gloom as we all thought.
On Sunday, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said they "have not closed the door" on Cousins returning to the team this season, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
After an injury-riddled season and poor NBA Finals performance with the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers took a flyer on the big man this summer on a one-year, $3.5 million deal.
The thought of Cousins on the court alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis had many experts believing the Lakers could make a run to the NBA Finals in 2020.
That all came to a halt in August, as Cousins tore his ACL during an offseason workout in Las Vegas. Given the recovery timeline, Cousins' chances of returning this season looked slim to none. But according to Vogel, Cousins could make a return in the latter part of the season.
