This Lakers-Knicks Trade for Kyle Kuzma Could Actually Work
The Los Angels Lakers' and the New York Knicks' franchises are in polar opposite positions. The Lakers are the top seeded team in the Western Conference and are championship contenders by every metric available. The Knicks, on the other hand, have made the playoffs in the Eastern Conference since the 2014-2015 season. However, they may be able to help each other out.
The Knicks apparently reached out to the Lakers about the availability of Kyle Kuzma, and Marcus Morris has caught the attention of many NBA contenders. A trade centering around these two may be a great solution for both.
This swap could definitely be beneficial to both. The Lakers would get a rugged, strong, physical player who also happens to be an excellent shooter from distance (LeBron James' preference), while the Knicks would be getting young talent who can get all the shots and playing time needed to develop. However, the Knicks may want a little sweetener since they are giving away their best play, such as a second round pick.
With the half way point of the season gone and the deadline approaching, this is the perfect swap for both teams, so Knicks and Lakers: Get on it!
