VIDEO: Remembering Kobe Bryant's Final NBA Game That Featured 60 Points and the Winning Shot
By Michael Luciano

Most NBA legends end their careers by playing as a backup in their final season, and they manage just a few points on a couple shots in what turns out to be their final taste of NBA action. Most legends, however, aren't Kobe Bryant. The Los Angeles Lakers legend put a bow on his NBA career by dropping 60 points on 50 shots in a 101-96 win over the Utah Jazz on this day in 2016.
On this day in 2016, Kobe Bryant finished his NBA career as only he could:

On a night where the Golden State Warriors set a record by winning their 73rd regular season game, all eyes were fixed on a 16-65 Lakers team solely because of Kobe.
The Lakers were at the end of a lost season, so the team used this golden opportunity to send the Black Mamba off in style by letting him to 60 points once again. Kobe attempted 50 shots in that game, making 22, and went 10-12 from the free throw line. No other Laker player attempted more than 10 shots.

In the crowd to witness such an immortal event were his wife, Vanessa, and two of his daughters, including the late Gianna.
Four years ago today, Kobe dropped 60 in his final game.

Only someone with Kobe's determination, flair for the dramatic, and quality as a basketball player could pull off something like this. He tragically lost his life in the tragic Calabasas helicopter accident eearlier this year, but absolutely nothing could ever erase the lifetime of memories that one of the greatest players in NBA history gave us over the course of his 20-year career in Purple and Gold.
