Kyle Kuzma Reveals Scary Details About Eye Injury and Will Wear Goggles Going Forward
By Parker White
During Tuesday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma took a blow to the eye that forced him to leave the game.
Kuzma's eye was bleeding after an elbow to the face, and it took a little less than two days for him to be able to open it back up.
As expected, Kuzma will wear goggles "for the foreseeable future" when he returns to the floor. Oh, and even though this appeared to be very serious, Kuzma expects to play on Friday in Oklahoma City, citing that "God gave me two eyes for a reason."
While it's unlikely the goggles will become Kuzma's signature look for the remainder of his career similar to the likes of Rip Hamilton and his facemask, for now it's the right move. If he's comfortable with them on and he balls out, why wouldn't he wear them moving forward? It beats not being able to see out of one eye.
