Lakers' Rajon Rondo Expected to Make Season Debut Sunday vs Toronto
By Karl Rasmussen

The Lakers aren't even at their full form yet.
Off to a cruising start to the 2019-20 NBA season, the new-look Lakers are proud owners of an NBA best 7-1 record. And they're about to get a key reinforcement back from injury, as veteran point guard Rajon Rondo is expected to make his season debut against the Raptors on Sunday.
Lakers guard Rajon Rondo participated in a workout today on an off day in preparation for his return, but he is not expected to make his debut on Sunday against the Raptors, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Rondo is not likely to be a starter for Frank Vogel's squad, as point guard LeBron has been masterfully handling his duties, but the veteran could step in as a serviceable floor general for the Lakers' second unit.
A calf injury has prevented Rondo from featuring in any games this season, but he's been back in practice and looks ready to be unleashed on Sunday.
Rajon Rondo did some full court five on five work today at the Lakers facility. Wasn’t an official practice, but this was the final hurdle to clear before being able to play. Tomorrow’s availability will depend on how his body reacts. https://t.co/nki5p6nrDC

Last season with the Lakers Rondo averaged 9.2 points, 8.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds, appearing in 46 games and starting 29. He made a career-high 1.1 3-pointers per game in 2018-19, and perhaps will look to further improve that mark this season.
