The Los Angeles Lakers just added a big man in Anthony Davis, but LA is still hungry for some height in their lineup.

According the reports, the Lakers have expressed interest in several NBA free agent centers, including Brook Lopez (who they...once had on the roster), DeAndre Jordan, and Nikola Vucevic.

With eight spots left to fill on their roster, the Lakers are certainly in need of some front-court depth. JaVale McGee is currently the starting center for the franchise, and although he was somewhat effective during the 2018-19 season, McGee is certainly not suited to be a starter on a championship contender at this point. The organization is also looking to move Moritz Wagner in an attempt to create more cap space, which would leave LA even thinner at the big man position.

Vucevic is by far the best of the three from an offensive standpoint. Named to his first All-Star Game in 2019, the Orlando Magic center averaged a career-high 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

However, if the Lakers are looking for a defensive anchor, DeAndre Jordan is probably the best bet. A two-time NBA All-Defensive First Team honoree, Jordan averaged 1.1 blocks and 0.7 steals per contest last year. He is also a tenacious rebounder, posting just over 13 boards a game.
