Lamar Jackson's First Half Stats vs Rams Are So Perfect We Don't Believe They're Real
By Michael Luciano
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is either No. 1 or No. 1a in the NFL MVP race after his unfathomably dominant performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.
Jackson, who led the Ravens to a 28-6 lead at halftime, totaled 167 total yards and three touchdowns, with Jared Goff's Rams managing just 113 total yards and failing to find the end zone.
Jackson didn't throw an incompletion in the first half, going 9-9 for 87 yards while adding 80 yards on the ground.
The Rams are wetting the bed, yes, but Jackson has continued his mercurial play on the field, as he was literally perfect in that first half.
Something about playing in LA in primetime brings out the best in Jackson, dating back to last season.
Be it downfield passes or on quick hitters, improvisational scramble drills, or designed runs to make use of his speed, Jackson is slicing up Wade Phillips and the LA defense in every conceivable fashion tonight in LA. The worst part about all this for the Rams? We've still got an entire half of football left.
