LaMelo Ball Asserts He's Better Than Lonzo to Fuel Brotherly Beef
By Ian Anderson
The drama in the Ball family never ceases to amaze us, whether it be their loud-mouthed father spurting off on an absurd rant, or footage from their show 'Ball in the Family.' And LaMelo Ball's latest comments will certainly stir the pot and raise up some beef within the family.
When one of Ball's teammates on the Illawara Hawks claimed Lonzo was really good, LaMelo coolly responded with "I'm better than him."
LaMelo is certainly not lacking for confidence.
It's an incredibly bold statement considering Lonzo was picked No. 2 overall by the Lakers in 2017. While his career hasn't gotten off to a fast start, he's packed with potential and is looking to begin to flourish in New Orleans. Despite all that, LaMelo thinks he's got the most talent in the family, and isn't afraid to voice that opinion.
And he may not be wrong. Ball has been lighting it up in Australia, playing alongside former NBA players such as Aaron Brooks and turning heads with his incredible passing and scoring ability.
His draft stock has sky-rocketed lately, with some projecting him as a top-five pick, and others boldly claiming he could go No. 1 overall.
His vision, handling, and finishing ability combined with his massive 6-foot-7 frame for a point guard will give a headache to general managers when forced to choose between Ball and UNC superstar Cole Anthony next June.
