Lane Kiffin Tweets Perfect Self-Deprecating Response to Question About New Rivalry With Mike Leach

The Egg Bowl sure got WAY more interesting for 2020 and beyond, as Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach have been hired by Ole Miss and Mississippi State, respectively.

You didn't think Kiffin would sit back and let Leach take all the spotlight in this one, though, right? Nope, he decided to troll Leach and the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State hired Leach to a four-year, $20 million deal confirmed by their athletic director John Cohen Thursday afternoon. Leach took Washington State to six bowl games in his eight years on the Cougars sideline.

Kiffin is undoubtedly ready for the challenge of the SEC, always having unmatched confidence in his coaching abilities no matter what the challege. But, he will take pride in any win over rivals Mississippi State while facing Leach's lethal "Air Raid" offense.

The two coaches join Nick Saban, Ed Orgeron, Gus Malzahn, Kirby Smart and Dan Mullen in what is widely-considered the best conference in the NCAA. With all those coaches leading programs, it's hard to dispute that.

Get ready for another healthy rivalry to enter the SEC and another year of the most entertaining college football on the planet.
