Latest College Football AP Poll Revealed
By Michael Luciano
Following some poor performances from the best teams in college football and a shockingly great performance from LSU on the road, the college football AP Poll was due for a major shakeup.
Joe Burrow and the Tigers jumped from No. 6 to No. 4 in one of several big changes in the Week 3 AP Poll. Following their loss, Texas fell to No. 12 from their previous spot at No. 9.
Despite dominant wins over South Dakota and Cincinnati, Oklahoma and Ohio State dropped down one spot. Auburn went to No. 8 after beating Tulane at home, while Michigan slid to No. 10 after they needed two overtimes to beat Army at home.
Further down in the poll, Texas A&M fell to No. 16 after getting whooped by Clemson. Kedon Slovis brought USC back into the Top 25 after taking down Stanford at No. 24, while Maryland jumped to No. 21 after crushing a then-ranked Syracuse team.
With three of the top four spots belonging to SEC teams, the conference is showing that it remains at the top of the college football mountain.
