Latest Report Suggests Browns Trading Odell Beckham is 'Only a Matter of Time'
Can we go 24 hours without more Odell Beckham Jr. drama landing in our lives? The answer, of course, is no. While reports surfaced earlier this week the Vikings and Browns were looking at potentially working a blockbuster trade involving OBJ, that proved to be a reach.
However, the latest on the superstar receiver is that while he remains with Cleveland, it could be only a matter of time before he packs his bags for a new city once again.
In his first campaign with the Browns, Beckham struggled to get into a consistent groove with signal caller Baker Mayfield, catching 77 balls (second-lowest of his career) and four touchdowns. Now, per Mike Freeman's sources, Cleveland may look to trade No. 13 because he and Mayfield aren't a good fit together. What a world.
So, the Browns' front office doesn't think one of the most gifted receivers in the game can mesh well with their franchise signal caller? This feels a bit absurd.
The wheels keep spinning here. The Giants looked like clowns for trading Beckham last year, but were they actually smart to get rid of their ongoing headache with him? It's looking that way.
