Latest Setback for Angels Pitcher Matt Harvey Sounds Like Really Bad News
By Scott Rogust

The Los Angeles Angels took a gamble by signing former New York Mets ace Matt Harvey to a one-year contract. Harvey was a shell of his former self through his first 10 starts with the Angels this season before hitting the injured list on May 25 due to an upper back strain.
After a dismal rehab start in Triple-A Salt Lake, Angels manager Brad Ausmus revealed that Harvey re-aggravated his back and has no timetable for a full recovery.
Angels manager Brad Ausmus on Matt Harvey's recent rehab outing: "Not so good." He re-aggravated his back injury, Ausmus said. And there is no timetable on his recovery.

During his start with the Bees this past Saturday, Harvey allowed eight runs on eight hits and two walks through 2.2. innings of work. Not only that, but his fastball clocked in around 90 mph.
Even when Harvey was healthy, he struggled to keep runs off the board. In those 10 starts, Harvey was 2-4 with an astronomical 7.50 ERA and 1.52 WHIP.
