VIDEO: Le'Veon Bell Shouts Out Steelers Fans With Renegade Post Before Matchup vs Former Team
Sunday's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers is probably the most anticipated game the Jets have had all season. Yes, the Jets are 5-9 with absolutely no chance of making the postseason, Adam Gase is likely out of a job in New York, and Sam Darnold may still be seeing ghosts. It's a homecoming for their premiere talent though, as it's the first time Le'Veon Bell will suit up against his former team. And judging by this video he posted to his Twitter account, he's still got some love for the Pittsburgh faithful.
The song and hashtag he used, "Renegade" by Styx is a clear homage to the Steelers' fanbase, as its been a rallying cry for the team for years. Many, though, still haven't forgiven Bell for his departure from the black and yellow, and the star running back is fully aware.
"It'll probably be 50-50," Bell said about the reaction he expects from traveling Steelers fans. "I think half will be happy to see me and still love me, and half that hates me, despises me. It is what it is. I'm going to show love, regardless."
Bell's always shown love to the city, and maintains his exit from Pittsburgh was nothing against the fans, but purely a business move.
Business as usual is what can be expected from Bell on Sunday.
