It's well understood that LeBron James is acclaimed for his generosity off the court in addition to his all-time greatness on the hardwood.

We could go on for hours about the King's countless selfless contributions to society, but on Tuesday, he extended a genuine gesture of hospitality to many of the first responders combating the monstrous flames and embers of the Getty fires, which have ravaged some 600 acres in Southern California over the last 48 hours.

Per ESPN's Dave McMenamin, LeBron showed his support for these emergency responders -- it's been reported that there are over 1,000 of them -- by dispatching a taco truck to provide them lunch.

"It definitely takes a lot of bravery, a lot of commitment, a lot of sacrifice in any job that you take," James told ESPN, "but when you're at the risk of your life any time you're called upon, it's a different type of mind state that you have to be in. So it definitely doesn't go without notice and without appreciation."

That's the definition of humility, ladies and gents.

The four-time MVP has experienced the hardships of the Getty Fire firsthand, as him and his family were evacuated from their home in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti even went out of his way to thank the Lakers superstar for his generous donation by sharing a few pictures of the first responders chowing down on tacos.

There really is nothing more to say about James' benevolence and, just as he does, we want to send a profound thank-you to all of those individuals out in harm's wayworking interminable hours to contain the fire and save lives.
