LeBron James Complete All-Star Game History
LeBron James has been a consistent playmaker in the NBA All-Star game for 15 straight years now, and it doesn't look like he will stop anytime soon. James' popularity across the world has helped his case tremendously, leading to some memorable moments. For all your history buffs, here is James' complete All-Star Game history.
2005 All-Star Game
As a second-year superstar, LeBron had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in 31 minutes for the Eastern Conference. The future looked bright for a 20-year-old LeBron.
2006 All-Star Game
The MVP for the game, James had 29 points and 6 rebounds in only 30 minutes of play for the East, leading the charge in a narrow 122-120 victory.
2007 All-Star Game
The 2007 All-Star Game is where the defense started to relax a little more, as the West won by a score of 153-132, led by MVP Kobe Bryant. LeBron led the East with 28 points (4-8 shooting from distance), 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
2008 All-Star Game
James was once again nominated as the MVP of the All-Star game in 2008, scoring 27 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and dishing 9 assists in a 134-128 victory by the East.
2009 All-Star Game
Unfortunately, 2009 was King James' worst All-Star showing to date, as he put up 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes of play. The West put the clamps on the East, winning 146-119.
2010 All-Star Game
LeBron played a team-high 32.5 minutes in his last year as an All-Star with the Cavs before leaving for Miami, recording 25 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. However, the MVP was given to Dwyane Wade in the narrow 141-139 victory.
2011 All-Star Game
Even though LeBron put up an incredible 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the 2011 All-Star game, the East lost 148-143 to the West, so the MVP wasn't awarded to James during his first season with the Miami Heat.
2012 All-Star Game
James shot 6-8 from beyond the arc and 15-23 overall for an All-Star career-high 36 points (to go along with 6 rebounds and 7 assists), but that wasn't enough to steal the victory from the equally hot shooting of Kevin Durant and the West. The final score was West 152, East 149.
2013 All-Star Game
LeBron could not really get going in this game, with Kobe Bryant holding him to 7-18 overall shooting for 19 points and 5 rebounds on the night. The West capitalized on LeBron's hiccup, winning 143-138.
2014 All-Star Game
James played well in his last All-Star game as a member of the Heat, scoring 22 point to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists while shooting 50% from the field. While the East won 163-155, the MVP was given to future teammate Kyrie Irving for his 31 points (14-17 shooting) and 14 assists.
2015 All-Star Game
In James' first year back in Cleveland, he had 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in almost 32 minutes for the East. However, Russell Westbrook's eruption of 41 points led the way for the West's 163-158 victory.
2016 All-Star Game
James' performance in the 2016 All-Star game was by far his worst; he could only muster 13 points and 7 assists in in 20 minutes during the 196-173 loss to the West. James was having plenty of fun with Kobe, who was playing in his last All-Star game.
2017 All-Star Game
This was James' first time playing under 20 minutes in the All-Star game (giving more minutes to younger players), but he still managed to put up 23 points.
2018 All-Star Game
Playing in over 31 minutes in the All-Star game for the first time since 2015, King James had himself an incredible performance, putting up 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. As the leader for the East during his last season in Cleveland, James was the MVP of the game.
2019 All-Star Game
As the leading vote getter for the Western Conference (and first year as a Laker), James and his hand-picked team emerged victorious with a 178-164 win over team Giannis. LeBron had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the win, but did not win MVP, as Kevin Durant stole the show with 31 points and 7 assists.
