There's a reason that countless sports fans have envisioned how NBA great LeBron James would fare in the NFL: he actually gave it some consideration -- and was entirely phenomenal at it in high school -- before committing his life to basketball. What almost nobody is aware of, however, is the fact that James was actually considering a career change during the Association's lockout back in 2011. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar appeared on "Uninterrupted" on Monday night to reveal that he started training to become a football player during the shutdown. The capper here? Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones even offered him a contract, which he has framed in his office.

We believe it, and it really makes you wonder what kind of career LeBron could've carved out for himself as an NFL player. In our eyes, he would have made a seamless transition. The 35-year-old physical specimen is 6-9 and 250 pounds as a basketball player. He would've put on the necessary weight in no time.

Heck, LBJ probably could have flourished at those exact measurables. We just wish there was footage of his 40-yard dash, as well as a few specific examples of how the other workouts differed from his daily NBA routine.

We'll likely never know how close the 14-time All-Star was to signing Jones' contract and shirking the league, but he was definitely considering it, and the speculation about such a spectacle should be enough to satisfy fans of both sports.
