3 Times LeBron James Got Rejected by the Rim in Wednesday Night Loss to Magic
By Mark Powell

LeBron James' Los Angeles Lakers had to lose sometime, and suddenly all that joking from the likes of Frank Vogel about this team being better without Anthony Davis is no more. Wednesday night was the Lakers' first loss to a team with a sub-.500 record all season. Surely it was an impressive feat that was bound to end sometime, but James was hurt by some untimely, very close misses.

Oh no? Oh yes. LBJ drove right past his defender, proving that at 35 years of age he still has that same speed and explosiveness to the rim. Unfortunately, the rim didn't return the favor.

But they're FREE! James has always been a streaky shooter from the charity stripe, but down two with just as many minutes remaining, missing the front end of this two-shot foul was tough to watch. That's especially true given how the game itself ended.

How many L’s can LeBron take to the rim in the same night? pic.twitter.com/PkB3JtkBgP

LBJ put in a ton of work just to set himself up, finally getting his defender to their feet enough to fake to his left and throw up a prayer. The shot was on-line and even looked to be good for a moment, but rimmed out. We've all been there, and it's good to know the best player in the game is human, too.
