LeBron James Reveals 'Space Jam 2' Logo While Rocking Insane Beard
By Michael Luciano
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James' ongoing adventures in the film industry has set the stage for the King's "Space Jam" sequel, which is set to hit theaters in 2021.
On Thursday, LeBron unveiled the new logo, which gives off a cool mid-90s vibe given the teal and dark purple.
"A New Legacy" might be the most generic name in the history of generic names, but the logo looks cool and unique, so props to the marketing team on that end.
But that beard? Serious. Very serious.
"Space Jam 2" is going to live or die on the performances of the surrounding cast, and James has already roped players like Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, and Chris Paul into the fold, as well as WNBA stars like Diana Taurasi and sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike.
Let's hope LBJ's suit at the eventual premiere is a little better than this one.
You may think that the original "Space Jam" is a delightful romp, and that the combination of Michael Jordan and Looney Tunes was a formula for instant success. Perhaps you aren't the biggest fan of it, noticing the bad acting by Jordan and all the visual effects that aged poorly. Hopefully, James' attempt at a reboot can do what the original film could not.
