LeBron Rips Fox News' Laura Ingraham Over Hypocritical Comments Following Drew Brees Controversy
By Jerry Trotta

A video of Fox News host Laura Ingraham responding to Drew Brees' controversial comments on NFL players kneeling during the national anthem went viral across social media platforms on Thursday. In the clip, Ingraham insisted that the New Orleans Saints quarterback is "allowed to have an opinion."
These brash remarks are hypocritical in light of what she said in a February 2018 edition of the show in which she infamously instructed NBA superstar LeBron James "to shut up and dribble" after he spoke out against President Donald Trump.
After Ingraham's latest act, King James didn't hesitate to take her to task with a poignant response on Twitter.
If you still haven’t figured out why the protesting is going on. Why we’re acting as we are is because we are simply F-N tired of this treatment right here! Can we break it down for you any simpler than this right here???? ??♂️. And to my people don’t worry I won’t stop until I see https://t.co/e4pJ0PvwJj

The double standard that the Fox News pundit is exemplifying here is disturbing. Why would she deem Brees' comments -- he said he could never agree with kneeling during the anthem for any reason -- as totally legitimate, while calling James' unacceptable? Connect the dots, folks. She should either condemn all athletes voicing political opinions (no matter what they look like) or lay off altogether.
LeBron taking down Ingraham comes just 24 hours after he communicated his dismay towards Brees' take on "disrespecting" the American flag through peaceful protest.
men who fought as well for this country. I asked him question about it and thank him all the time for his commitement. He never found Kap peaceful protest offensive because he and I both know what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong! God bless you. ??✊??

This is exactly the response we expected from LBJ, who's been an outspoken activist on racial and social justice issues throughout his career. He was wholly justified in taking Ingraham to the cleaners here, and he's a good bet to do it again one day.
