LeBron James Rocks Jackie Robinson Jersey in Return to Lineup vs Grizzlies
By Jack Murphy
LeBron James will be returning to action Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies after missing the Lakers' last game due to a groin injury. The 35-year-old pulled up to the FedEx Forum in style by repping an L.A. legend.
James was seen arriving to Memphis in a Jackie Robinson jersey.
While Robinson technically played in Brooklyn, we'll give Bron a pass as the Dodgers franchise has been associated with Los Angeles since 1957. Also, Robinson lived in Pasadena, Calif. and played ball at UCLA so he is indeed an "LA legend."
After being sidelined for a game, James knew he had to arrive at his next contest in a noticeable outfit. There is no better way for LeBron to show up than by rocking the jersey of one of the most iconic and influential athletes in American sports.
This was not the first time James was seen paying tribute to the legendary No. 42. as he has been seen sporting the iconic Brooklyn hat in the past.
While Jackie played baseball, his legacy stretches across the NBA and all sports and will forever be recognized by the greats.
