LeBron James Surprises Ohio State Football Team With Beats Ahead of Fiesta Bowl

No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Clemson will play in the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. Clemson is favored in what should be a very close game. However, Ohio State has one thing that Clemson doesn't have, which is LeBron James' support.
James is from Akron and grew up as an Ohio State fan. As a gesture of good will, LeBron gifted each member of the Ohio State football squad a pair of Beats headphones, and also gave the team a motivational speech before their big game.
Thank you @KingJames for the holiday gift of @beatsbydre, but more importantly, the motivational words that came with it ‼️ We always appreciate your support!#GoBucks #ToughLove pic.twitter.com/M3tD1lAFoO

Along with being in the conversation for best basketball player of all-time, LeBron was a very talented football player as well. In fact, LeBron was First Team All-State as a high school sophomore, and was recruited to play football by Urban Meyer and Ohio State. His high school coach had this to say about him:
LeBron's high school football coach thinks LBJ would've been one of the NFL greats ?? @KingJames @STVMFootball

With James' athleticism, speed and height, we understand where the coach is coming from.
LeBron almost went to Ohio State, and in honor of this, they started selling LBJ basketball jerseys.

While James did skip college altogether, his roots with the school run deep.
