VIDEO: LeBron James Went for the Fake Block on Alex Caruso's Breakaway Dunk

If you were to create a Mt. Rushmore of the NBA's most meme'd players, Alex Caruso would certainly be the first choice. The league's most beloved balding guard came through with yet another highlight-reel dunk in the Lakers' Sunday night game against the Pistons. With Caruso breaking away for a wide open slam, LeBron James decided to have some fun with his Laker teammate and jokingly attempted to block the dunk attempt.

Caruso may have felt some players chasing hot on his heels, but in reality it was just James and Dwight Howard messing with him.
This throw down by the now headband-donning Caruso is just the latest highlight in the archives of the cult hero. Judging from the reactions of his teammates, it seems as if the Lakers are loving every Caruso slam as much as us fans are.

Caruso has carved out a nice role for himself in LA, averaging 5.6 points per game off the bench for a Lakers team that sits in first in the Western Conference.
While he's no stat-sheet stuffer, Caruso has the athleticism and explosiveness to make some impact plays and shift momentum in the Lakers' favor.
