LeBron Shouts Out DK Metcalf on Instagram After Beastly Playoff Debut

Seattle Seahawks' rookie wide receiver DK Metcalf had an incredible game yesterday, setting the NFL record for most receiving yards for a first-year player in a playoff game, with 160 yards on seven catches. As the final pick of the second round of the 2019 draft, Metcalf was not expected to produce at this high of a level for the Seahawks so quickly, but he's defied expectations in his dominant rookie season.
The former Ole Miss standout was complimented by teammates and coaches alike after the dominant performance, but all of that may pale in comparison to the shoutout by LeBron James on Instagram.

We'll hazard a guess that this shoutout is one Metcalf will remember for a LONG time. Gaining recognition from teammates and coaches is an honor, but when James enters the fold and reaches out to you on social media, it's got to be a great feeling.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Metcalf and James have been put in the same sentence. Star quarterback and teammate Russell Wilson compared Metcalf to LeBron in the beginning of the season, saying that he has the size and talent to be among the best ever at his position.

First being compared to LeBron, and now getting a shoutout from the King himself. If Metcalf can produce again next weekend, we can only imagine what prominent figures will be showing him love on social media.
