Leeds United Removes Ill-Advised Osama Bin Laden Cutout From Stands
By Michael Luciano

As English soccer starts to come back after a three-month coronavirus-induced hiatus, Championship side Leeds United, who are currently angling for Premier League promotion, decide to place cutouts of season ticket holders at Elland Road during home games, a practice that the MLB's San Francisco Giants are also adopting.
Unfortunately, Leeds showed what can happen when this idea is handled inadequately. While 99.9% of season ticket holders sent Leeds a fairly normal profile of themselves, one sent the club an image of former international terrorist Osama bin Laden. Not realizing it was bin Laden, Leeds printed the cutout anyway.

Imagine being the supporter who saw his cutout next to bin Laden!
Leeds quickly realized the mistake after Twitter was done laughing nonstop about the whole ordeal. They since removed the cutout and put out a statement in which they vowed to "ensure there are no more offensive images" in the stands.

This is one of those miracles of incompetence and while it's pretty unforgivable, it's hard to not laugh.
