By Chris Russo

Lenny Dykstra claims he is not responsible for what would be yet another controversial move for him.
The former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies slugger is blaming his college intern for sending a disturbing tweet from his account.

Dykstra, who has most recently faced controversy over allegations of racism from former teammate Ron Darling in his new book, says his college intern (who is currently unnamed) is sent out this garbage on Wednesday:
I don’t particularly relish giving Lenny Dykstra any airtime, but he used Sept. 11th to point out that people born in 2001 are now reaching the age of consent, and then blamed it on a female intern who is 18 years old but also just turned 19. pic.twitter.com/aoYFRwwwmN

The tweet also features a map of the U.S. in which each state is highlighted based on what the legal age of consent is there. Speaking to TMZ, Dykstra said the girl he says sent the tweet will be "taking a break to focus on schoolwork."
It just seems the man cannot get away from the negative headlines.

Outside of his already mounting legal troubles, Dykstra has decided to make the brilliant public relations move of fighting the "Bagel Boss" guy.
That bout is apparently set to go down Sept. 28, so get ready for him to talk trash on Dykstra about this in the meantime.
