In April of 2019, a huge portion of the world was looking forward to seeing Avengers: Endgame. The movie was highly anticipated, and as the culmination of over 10 years worth of storytelling, fans of the film wanted to go in without any prior knowledge to experience it as the filmmakers intended.

However, anyone who followed LeSean McCoy was treated to a shocking spoiler from an unexpected source. Fans were outraged, and now, over a year later, McCoy appeared on "Good Morning Football" and discussed the mistake.

He said he didn't realize that it would be an issue to spoil the ending for his thousands of followers, and he specifically "didn't know that people really got into them cartoons like that". That's hilarious, but definitely still missing the point, Shady.

It's objectively funny to call a movie that cost around $350 million to make a "cartoon," but it's just further trivializing what people were upset about. Some fans invest serious time and energy into that kind of movie, and in the same way that fans want to see Shady play on gameday, they want to experience it for themselves.

There's a reason sports are broadcast live. People want to have that excitement of not knowing what's going to happen next. If you're told the outcome early, you're less likely to want to watch it. It robs the viewer of what could have been a deeply personal moment of genuine surprise by reading it in 280 characters or less.

The former Chief expressed remorse and called it one of his worst decisions ever, but calling it a cartoon and talking down to the fans he's apologizing to isn't the best way to show you've learned from the mistake.
