The Kansas City Chiefs have not had much success running the ball in 2019. Luckily, they have reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback.

Well, they'll once again be short-handed at running back on Sunday, as LeSean McCoy is inactive for their clash with the Bears.

This marks McCoy's second healthy scratch of the season, as the Chiefs, who have already clinched a postseason berth, are hoping to enter the playoffs at full health. In his stead, Damien Williams, Spencer Ware and Darwin Thompson will make up the Chiefs' backfield.

The veteran has the most experience of any running back on the roster and Andy Reid seems to be taking a "load management" approach to the situation. At least that is what it looks like from the outside.

Williams will likely be the lead back on Sunday, as he's logged the most carries of the active trio with 83 carries on the year. He hasn't shown up much on the stat sheet, however, logging just 309 yards on an average of 3.7 yards per carry.
