As Jason Garrett's stock as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys continues to plunge to rock bottom, Lincoln Riley's stock is booming.

After beating Baylor 30-23 in overtime in the Big 12 Championship and potentially earning a spot in the College Football Playoff inside of AT&T Stadium, Riley is now 3-0 when playing at Jerry World.

Take note, Cowboys fans.

In the large scheme of things, is this conclusive evidence that Jerry needs to hire Riley tomorrow? Of course not, but for hungry fans in Big D who will cling onto any sort of positivity they find, this is potentially a poignant detail.

Urban Meyer might still be the de facto frontrunner for the presumed vacancy just because everyone would love to see what he could do with the plethora of talent found on the Cowboys roster, but Riley should be more than just a dark horse candidate for the job.

Riley may still have a couple of high-profile games to coach for the Sooners this season. That'll give Jerry and Stephen Jones even more insight into what they would be getting out of him if they were to hire him as the next coach of the Cowboys. Until then, give the man his due for his hot streak at AT&T.
