Darius Slay Has Funny NSFW Reaction to Game-Winning INT Off Philip Rivers
By Ryan Flores
With the game clock at 1:10 seconds, the Los Angeles Chargers had managed to storm all the way down field to the Detroit Lions' 28-yard line. Down 13-10, the Chargers had their dreams crushed when quarterback Philip Rivers was intercepted by cornerback Darius Slay in the end zone, proving why his nickname is "Big Play Slay."
Both Slay and Lions fans alike breathed a huge sigh of relief, as the corner was lit up for 98 yards on eight catches by Keenan Allen prior to the huge play. After the game, Slay spoke to reporters about what was going through his mind at the time, and his reaction was hysterical.
Slay was warned by Rivers that the football would be thrown his way quite often, as he looked to get his star wideout involved throughout the day. Rivers made good on his promise, but ultimately, Slay got the last laugh.
The Lions have a rough schedule coming up, as they face the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Green Bay Packers in the coming weeks. With that knowledge, this win was clearly huge for Detroit, as they'll need every win possible to hold on to a playoff spot in the NFC.
