List of Players the Vikings Have Lost Since Kirk Cousins' Extension is Insane

The Minnesota Vikings have invested heavily in Kirk Cousins. He joined the team in 2018 on a three-year, $84 million deal, and re-upped by signing a lucrative two-year extension this offseason worth $66 million.
The Vikings spending so much on Cousins has left them unable to re-sign some other key players, resulting in some big names departing from Minnesota. The list of players who have left the Twin Cities since Cousins signed his extension is staggering, and Vikings fans should be worried.
#Vikings sign Kirk Cousins to a monster contract & then lose:

- Stefon Diggs
- Xavier Rhodes
- Trae Waynes
- Linval Joseph
- Josh Kline
- Mackensie Alexander
- Jayron Kearse
- Stephen Weatherly
- David Morgan

That's a seriously loaded group of players who have taken their talents elsewhere in the offseason.
The Vikings were never anticipated to be able to keep all of their impending free agents, but they've lost a significant amount of talent. Trading Stefon Diggs was seemingly unavoidable as well, given the star wideout's social media activity and desire to continue his career elsewhere.
Still, is making sure Cousins is happy and comfortable worth the loss of so many esteemed players?
While the Vikings have made some decent signings of their own in the offseason, watching so many players bolt for the exit door is concerning.

Vikings fans won't rest any easier if Cousins struggles in 2020 after being given such a juicy new contract, especially considering who they let go in order to keep him in town.
