VIDEO: Logan Morrison Continues Push to Make Brewers With Another Home Run and Bat Drop
By Scott Rogust
Logan Morrison is looking to earn a spot on the Milwaukee Brewers Opening Day roster after taking on the role of journeyman the past couple of years. Morrison joined the Brewers on a minor-league pact but declared his intent on playing in the majors, and the majors alone. On Sunday, he added to his relatively strong spring by mashing a home run and performing a bat drop against the Los Angeles Angels.
No doubt about that one, LoMo!
Entering Sunday, Morrison compiled a .286 batting average and 946 OPS along with two homers and six RBI. Those numbers vastly improved after his dinger on Sunday.
It's safe to say that Morrison won't have to worry about being demoted to the minors. He's showcased his power during his strong spring, and the Brewers would be hard pressed to keep a home run threat like that down in the minors.
