Lonzo Ball Tries to Walk Back Blatant Lakers Diss From His New Song
By Scott Rogust

As his infamous loudmouth father said, Lonzo Ball going to the Los Angeles Lakers was "spoken into existence" once he left UCLA for the NBA ranks. After two seasons, however, the Hollywood story of the Ball family came to an end, as Lonzo was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in the deal that landed Anthony Davis.
Ball let his feelings be known about the trade be known on Thursday, as he dropped his "50&30" mixtape in which raps, "You know I'm all business. L.A. is going to regret their decision."

Despite the straightforward and to-the-point verse, Ball took to Twitter on Thursday night in order to backtrack on the apparent thesis of those lyrics and say he has nothing but love for Los Angeles.
I’m not dissing anybody I loved my time in LA. I use my music as an outlet to express things that happen in my life #50and30 out now! Let me know y’all favorite track ?? pic.twitter.com/xBhI3Ld6ZK

Hmmm.
While Ball does try to stress he has no ill will towards the Lakers, an athlete will always find ways to self-motivate, especially after being traded away.
Now, Ball is part of an up-and-coming team in New Orleans centered around No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson. His tenure in Los Angeles didn't turn out like most expected, but he has the chance to let his play (not his lyrics) do the talking with the Pelicans. All told, that's the best plan for everyone.
