Los Angeles Brewery Getting Torched for Trashing the Dodgers
By Charles Nason
An LA brewery located in the Arts District of LA made a grave mistake with one simple Instagram post. In that post, the Boston Beer-owned company decided to take a shot at the local favorites - the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Although it looks like the post has since been taking down, the damage has already been done.
"Today Angel City participates in a yearly ritual of ours, where we head to Dodger Stadium to watch the boys in blue get one of their 115 wins before choking on October," the post read.
What a great marketing strategy! Bashing the team that most of your customers support is definitely foolproof.
In both the comments section of the post, as well as Reddit and Twitter, Dodgers fans created a firestorm to trash the brewery, and understandably so.
Here's just a handful of responses:
Probably not the only person taking their business elsewhere...
For good measure, the gif game is on point.
The brewery certainly is learning from their mistakes. Even though most of their business is probably on the move to another Dodger-friendly spot, they did post an apology.
"Sorry for the poor attempt at a joke at all. We love our Dodgers and were trying to be self-deprecating. We know they're picking up that trophy this year," the post read.
Backtracking on a bad joke attempt hasn't done them any favors. In the future, they should probably avoid trashing the favorite team of the city their business is a part of.
