Lou Williams Has Hilarious Response to Fan Trying to Get Free Clippers-Lakers Christmas Tickets
Lou Williams isn't doing anybody any favors right about now.
Last year's NBA Sixth Man of the Year has his focus solely on his on-court duties ahead of the Clippers' Christmas day matchup with the Lakers, as referenced by his reply to a fan's tweet begging him for tickets to the game.
Williams has generally been a man of the people, and has established himself as a legend in multiple areas throughout the country, including Memphis and Philadelphia. He regularly interacts with fans on Twitter, sometimes even taking them up on their requests (which, granted, usually involve signed memorabilia or a picture).
He's been on a bit of a mean streak, though, as of late, which may be in part due to a hampered calf muscle, and was just handed the second ejection of his 1,000-plus game career during Thursday night's bout with the Rockets. Williams cited disrespect from a referee as the reason for his untimely outburst (which he ironically did on Twitter).
As for the fan, asking for Christmas day tickets seems like a bit of an egregious request, and he shouldn't have expected much from Williams in the first place. Maybe next time try a matchup with, say, the Cavs or Knicks? Tickets for this particular matchup haven't been available for eons, but following Williams' denial, this fan will have a nice, cozy viewing seat in the comfort of his own home, just like the rest of us.
