LSU Finally Has a QB in Joe Burrow and the Rest of the SEC Should Be Terrified

Maybe Texas isn't the real DBU after all.

When Joe Burrow transferred from Ohio State to LSU, very few thought he'd make this kind of impact in just a year-plus as a starter. Yet, after an impressive 2018 campaign Burrow is putting together one final run with the Tigers in the hopes of establishing LSU as a real College Football Playoff contender. So what's the catch?

Well, there is none really, except for the fact LSU fans don't know solid quarterback play when they see. The Tigers finally have the signal-caller they've desperately craved for years, and he came away with a vital win in Austin on Saturday night.

Yes, that's what we call swagger, and it runs in the family. Burrow's father was seen giving horns down in the stands repeatedly during the game, obviously confident in his son to bring a victory home to Baton Rouge. And deliver he did, via a 471 yard, four touchdown performance against the Longhorns.

Suddenly, there's a legitimate argument to be made for LSU to move up significantly in the AP Poll come Monday. The Tigers look like they pose the best threat to Alabama in the SEC West, as well, making their looming Nov. 9 matchup all the more appetizing.
