LSU Lands 4-Star Offensive Tackle Recruit
By Tyler Kemp
2019 was the year of LSU football. With head coach Ed Orgeron leading the charge, the Tigers are looking to build off of their momentum of their National Championship season. Though they had plenty of stars leave for the NFL Draft, they're projected to once again be one of the best teams in the SEC.
With fall camp still about a month away, Orgeron and his coaching staff have been working hard on the recruiting trail. Most recently, Oregeron just found his newest offensive lineman for the Class of 2021.
Garrett Dellinger, a top-100 player in the country according to 247 Sports, is the newest addition to the Tigers’ 2021 recruiting class. A Michigan native, the offensive tackle spurned the hometown Wolverines as well as Big Ten neighbors in Ohio State and Penn State.
With Orgeron’s recruiting prowess, LSU was able to steal a Big Ten-area prospect and bring him down to SEC country.
With Dellinger’s commitment, the Tigers now sit at No. 9 in the country for best 2021 recruiting classes, according to 247 Sports. With 12 commits for 2021, Oregeron and Co. still have plenty of room to operate in terms of bringing in more elite talent to the Bayou.
