VIDEO: LSU Pre-National Championship Trailer Narrated by Dwayne Johnson Deserved Oscar Consideration
By Scott Rogust

Monday is the big day. After a weekend filled with thrilling NFL playoff action, football fans are getting ready for the CFP National Championship Game between LSU and Clemson. "The Tiger Bowl" will feature the battle of future No. 1 overall picks in Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Given the importance of the big game, LSU pulled out all the stops, and released a hype video for its fans. And narrating the clip is none other than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

How can you not be pumped by this? Is it too late to get this video nominated for an Oscar?
For those wondering how LSU could get Johnson to narrate the video, the answer is pretty interesting. Back when "The Rock" played defensive tackle for the Miami Hurricanes in the early 1990s, his defensive line coach was none other than LSU head coach Ed Orgeron. The Rock also called Coach O his "early mentor."
Hype video for tonight’s NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. What many don’t know is @LSUfootball’s head coach @Coach_EdOrgeron was my defensive line coach and early mentor at University of Miami ??

He taught me a lot - lessons that I’d finally understand years later as a man. #LetsGeaux pic.twitter.com/17TUioC8wK
Monday night can't come soon enough for LSU fans, who are no doubt screaming "Let's Geaux" while preparing to run through a brick wall. Perhaps The Rock will be among that crowd, despite his ties to Miami.
