LSU Tight End Thaddeus Moss Throws Shade at Clemson Defense Ahead of National Championship
By Michael Luciano

LSU must be feeling pretty confident ahead of the National Championship against Clemson. Some of Ed Orgeron's best offensive players are already trying to get the trash talk started with a few days until kickoff.
Tight end Thaddeus Moss, the son of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss, took a shot at Dabo Swinney's defense, claiming that Clemson only has one or two players you really need to worry about.
Thaddeus Moss coming in hot today. On on what makes Clemson good on D: “They play hard, I guess. They don’t have anybody on film that really stands out. Maybe 1 player, *maybe* 2 players that catch your eye.”

Moss might have just poked the bear that is Brent Venables. Not the best choice of words.
Moss' statement is simply factually incorrect. With linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons a lock to be in the Top 10 and cornerback AJ Terrell not having allowed a receiver to go over 60 yards, this defensive unit has some studs. The likes of K'Von Wallace and Xavier Thomas have more than enough raw talent to make life hell for Burrow in the pocket.

Clemson has one of the best defenses in the country, and half of this group will be playing on Sunday in a year or two. Moss might have given Clemson all the bulletin board material they needed ahead of Monday's showdown for the ages in New Orleans.
