LSU WR Justin Jefferson Says He Donated Money Odell Beckham Jr. Gave Him to Church
By Jerry Trotta

LSU alum Odell Beckham Jr. was feeling himself after Joe Burrow led the Tigers to a national championship over Clemson in January. The Cleveland Browns wideout was spotted handing out wads of cash to various LSU players, including standout receiver Justin Jefferson.
Jefferson is currently in Indianapolis looking to bolster his draft stock at the NFL Combine. As expected, he was asked about the incident with OBJ that came under a ton of scrutiny.
The 21-year-old pass catcher flushed suspicion of any wrongdoings by revealing that he donated the money to his local church.
LSU WR Justin Jefferson says he gave the money he got from Odell Beckham Jr. after the National Championship to his church. "We had some doubts about it. We know we shouldn't have done it."

But we thought...the money...was fake, right, LSU? Sorry to snag you in a fib there!
Jefferson acknowledged that Beckham throwing dollar bills around to student-athletes moments after winning the College Football Playoff was a bit of a misstep on the part of all parties. Short of donating the money to charity, the LSU product couldn't have managed this dilemma much better.

LSU worked quickly to ward off any sort of probe by the NCAA, and the unappetizing quagmire ultimately faded in terms of being a national storyline.
After Jefferson's professional approach to weathering the situation, it's only right that he's granted that same exemption. Like we said, he handled it without a hitch.
