Luis Severino's Return Means the Yankees World Series Run Starts Today
By Parker White

The New York Yankees have a playoff berth locked up and will clinch the division in the coming days, so fans are probably not that locked into a September series against the Los Angeles Angels.
Then again, this team is still fighting for homefield advantage, and more importantly, the ace of the Yankees' rotation, Luis Severino, will start and make his season debut tonight.
Here's @LuisSeverino94 talking about his expectations of himself in his debut tonight. https://t.co/5peaaIERXs

You'd love to see Severino go deep into the ballgame and dominate his opponent, but tonight is not about that. As long as Severino can repeat his delivery, hit his velocity, and come away healthy, it's win for the Yankees.
Of course, the Bombers need all of that and more once the postseason starts.
He's baaaack!

They might not admit it now, but what Severino does tonight will tell a little bit about their October story and battle for another World Series title.
To win the whole thing, they need Severino to be lights out and carry a significant load in the rotation along with James Paxton and Masahiro Tanaka. What better way to kickstart it than tonight in his first start of the season?
