Luke Voit Declares Himself 100 Percent Healthy and Could Delay Hernia Surgery Until Offseason
By Ryan Giglio

The New York Yankees' quiet July 31 MLB trade deadline day confused and disappointed many analyst and fans. But the team may be adding a plethora of stars to its active roster during the season's final month and a half.
A ton of the Yankees' star players currently on the injured list, but it seems like many of those players are close to returning to the club. That includes first baseman Luke Voit, out since late July, who is beginning to work his way back to the lineup on Monday.
Luke Voit says he feels 100 percent. First time sprinting today. Will hit tomorrow. Thinks he won’t need surgery ... until maybe the offseason. #Yankees

Voit was seen doing running drills in the Yankee Stadium outfield on Monday and told reporters that he feels 100 percent. He also said that he possibly won't need sports hernia surgery until the offseason.

While pitching has been the Yankees' main area of concern, getting Voit back would do wonders to the team's infield depth that has been tested thanks to Gleyber Torres' core injury.
Voit is hitting .278/.392/.493 this year with 19 homers and 54 RBI, including a 135 OPS+.
The news on Voit and pitchers Luis Severino and Dellin Betances is promising for a Yankees team with a healthy division lead. The Bombers rightly have World Series dreams, but they'll need their top contributors all raring to go if that dream is going to be realized.
