Luke Voit Likely to Be Activated From IL on Saturday
By Adam Weinrib

Luke Voit's "10-Day" absence from the Yankees was altered quite a bit by strange London travel and a little retroactive rest.
All told, if things go according to plan, Voit will miss just eight games in total before being activated on Saturday, provided he comes through the flight back from Florida alright.
Per Aaron Boone, the beefy first baseman is heading to rejoin the team as we speak.

The legend of Voit's "full bore" BP spread throughout the All-Star break (and it's a damned shame we didn't get to watch him in the Home Run Derby, isn't it?), and he added a new chapter to that folder on Friday.
Luke Voit continued his rehab him Tampa this morning, according to a source. He took multiple rounds of BP and didn’t seem to have any issues visibility. Another positive sign on a potential return soon

Hopes are high as Voit ideally closes the book on another recovery period this weekend. Though his injury was strange, the Yankees were able to tread water without his bat in the lineup, as he so often helped them do throughout the absences of others early on.
