Luke Voit is Looking Absolutely Yoked Rolling up to Yankees Spring Training
By Michael Luciano

Luke Voit is the living, breathing epitomization of the phrase "country strong." The Missouri native and New York Yankees first baseman made his first appearance at Yankees Spring Training in Tampa, and his listed weight of 245 pounds might need to be updated after he arrived on the scene totally jacked.

Voit, who will change his number to No. 59 this season after giving up his old No. 45 to record-setting new arrival Gerrit Cole, hit .263 with 21 home runs last season.
While the numbers look good in a vacuum, the powerful first baseman struggled near the end of last season, and he has to prove his discipline at the plate and bat control has improved if he wants to get back in Aaron Boone's good graces.

Voit has been a key member of some potent Yankee lineups over the last few years, and his role is only going to increase now that he is expected to holt down the fort at first base. He's certainly in playing shape, the only question is if he can put his late season funk from last year behind him.
